My Friday Fat-Loss Breakfast

Today’s breakfast is for all of you out there eating cold cereal:

What’ve we got going on there?

Mixed berries and canteloupe (a cup or so total).  Scrambled eggs (1 whole egg + 2 egg whites) with chopped tomato and sauteed mushrooms.  Oat bran, which this Southerner thinks tastes very much like grits.  (And that is a very good thing:) I LOVE grits!)

Why am I eating this and not a bowl of cold cereal with skim milk?

“Protein should be the #1 priority at breakfast because it helps stabilize blood sugar, increases satiety and keeps you feeling fuller for longer.” – Jill Coleman

“If it is cereal, it is far from a heath food in our opinion.  Cereal is one of the most processed foods on the planet.  And most all cereal is loaded with refined carbohydrates, lacking in fiber, and devoid of protein. This means eating cereal for breakfast will elevate insulin levels and be less satiating than a breakfast with more protein and fiber.” – Drs. Jade and Keoni Teta

A parting shot as you head out on this beautiful Friday.  Just me having breakfast with Dan Cohen…

Just kidding:)  Launches are coming and it’s time to start learning CX30 Release #3!  It’s another core-crusher!  (Hmmm…I wonder if Dan Cohen eats Wheaties and Kashi.  I’d put my money on “No way.”)

    • It is at LEAST 800x more delicious – and I used to LOVE cereal. My faves were Basic 4, Smart Start (let’s just stop a moment and ponder the ridiculousness of that name). Oh and the Special K with the little sugary clusters of sugared vanilla almonds. What do they call it, “Special K with protein clusters?!” I’m pretty sure protein isn’t supposed to come in clusters, yo.
